Magical Christmas Tree
I love this magical Christmas tree. But I have to confess that I didn’t realize it was a tree at first. After all, the name of the Rubbernecker stamp set is Snowflakes and Stardust. And I used the swirly image as stardust on THIS CARD.
So when my friends starting making comments about how I used the “tree” image, I thought “huh?” Silly me! I get it now! Blonde, ya know!
The brown tree is stamped on watercolor paper using Ranger Archival ink so it wouldn’t bleed. Then I misted the paper and stamped the “leaves” (stardust) in 4 different shades of green. When that was dry I stamped the garland in melon and the star on top in curry (no misting).
After the image was cut using a Labels 4 Nestabilities die and while the die was still attached, I sponged a little melon ink on the sides. Then I smushed a glue pad along the sides and randomly over the image and sprinkled on glass glitter.
I also used the glitter on the sentiment panel. It’s hard to tell, but there’s a tiny yellow rhinestone on the star.
That’s it…my magical stardust Christmas tree!! Thanks for stopping by!

Broni, I was so impressed that you thought of another way to use the stardust image in another way other than a tree on your earlier card. It was so creative. I love knowing that you didn’t realize it was a tree….but who really says it is???? It’s all in one’s mind’s eye. This project is absolutely gorgeous. I love the whimsey amd magical look.
This is beautiful and I love how you made this card feel so festive. The very fact you could use this stamp as something other than the standard Christmas tree just shows the versatility of the stamp (and the stamper)!
Wow! Beautiful tree! Could you come decorate my Christmas Tree? Bet you have all your Christmas cards made already too! Not me!
Gorgeous, Broni!!!
Ooh, this is so bright and festive. Misting the paper really worked out well for this technique, and you’ve made nice choices about which parts to mist and which parts stayed dry.
LOL! I didn’t know it was a tree either until I saw the comments, how funny! This is just bright and beautiful! Works great as a tree too, huh?!
Broni, I love your tree and the fresh colors! I also went back to see how you had used it before though, and that was very creative as well–beautiful both ways!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! I loved the first card you made w/the same stamp! I thought using it that way was brilliant! Just tell your critics it was a magical tree!
OMG, Broni!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is absolutely stunning!!! I can’t even use that set now, ’cause nothing will compare to this! WOW!!!
Well, I love BOTH ways you’ve used it! This does look really magical!
Oh, Broni! Good heavens, this is GORGEOUS! Now I have to go see your other one…you’ve got me curious.
This is so pretty!!
Very pretty!
Your tree is so beautiful, and I love these colors!!
Mercy! This tree has been given such wonderful life! The mix of colors is a delight! I’ve really got to pick up more glitter for wintery stuff … I love your sparkle!

Wow, I would never have thought of using those colours or even the shape you chose for the centre panel, but it is all beautiful and works so well. The tree stamp is very cool.
Absolutely gorgeous, Broni!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colors and how creative to use both of the swirly tree images!!!
