Oh my!  Cathy really threw me for a loop when I saw the colors for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge!  I thought I’d never be able to put anything together with them.  Green Galore??  Come on!  It’s been months (maybe a year) since I’ve used that color!

So I pulled a piece of cardstock in each color out and lined them up – pink passion, green galore, chocolate chip.  And lo and behold!  I loved the way they looked side by side.  So that’s how I ended up using them….exactly the way I lined them up!

The colors were so yummy that I didn’t want to cover them up too much, but I wanted an embellishment just as bold and sassy as the colors!  Hence the huge bow in that scrumptious May Arts ribbon with one of my crocheted flowers on top!

Cathy, I’m so sorry I ever doubted this combination!!!

I stamped the Abstract Floral background just faintly in Versamark on the pink passion layer.  That and the sentiment were the only stamping I did on this card.  And I love how the small layer of the So So Sweet paper added just a bit more pattern to the overall look.

I hope you’ll play along with us this week.  Check out all the details at the Color Throwdown blog and check out what the fabulous design team has done too:
