Don’t you just love sparkle?

Snowy Log Cabin crop

Well, I do, too!

Today’s Rubbernecker Blog challenge is presented by the fabulous Shelly Kuck, and she’s asked us to use sparkle on our cards! My sparkle is the snow on and around my log cabin.

Here’s the full view:

Snowy Log Cabin

My, it does sparkle IRL!

I started with Beate’s sketch WSC54 and the log cabin from Kittie’s The Moose Is Loose Kittie Kit. It’s really easy to create a scene with the stamps Kittie has chosen. All you have to do is stamp and color. All I added were the trees, and they’re from the same kit.

I colored the cabin, the sky and the snow with Copic markers. I masked the slopes with Eclipse tape to stamp the 2 background trees, then stamped the tree in the foreground after I removed the tape. I cut the circles with Nestabilities, and then mounted the entire scene on a piece of corrugated cardboard torn from a shipping box. (And lord knows, I have enough of those!!) The chimney smoke was done with liquid applique.

You can find all the details to the challenge (RBC10) HERE, and be sure to check out what the other designers have come up with. You’re sure to see bunches and bunches of sparkle!!!

Thanks for stopping by to see the sparkle!!
