Dirty Girls One Layer challenge
Every month over at Splitcoaststampers, Jami issues a specific challenge to the Dirty Girls – past and present. And each month on the 20th, we are to reveal our completed challenge cards.
Our assignment this month, if we chose to accept it, was to make a single layer card. The required element was to use masking (or reverse masking). The restriction was to use no pink. So could I follow these simple instructions? Heck, no! This is actually the second of 4 cards I made trying to come up with one that I liked.
On the first one, I used pink. Duh! So then I attempted this PITA with hours of coloring involved and really didn’t like the end result. So on to cards 3 and 4 – the third one had no masking, the fourth was just too plain.
So I’ve finally decided you could see this card. Please be kind!
There was actually a lot of masking done on this card. I think if I had to recreate it, I would be at a loss. Like I said, it took hours of masking, coloring, stamping, sponging, then more and more coloring.
That’s it for today. Maybe one day I’ll show you the 3 rejects!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. You can see all the Dirty Girls’ challenge cards here: DCNL908

It’s a great card! You did good! It does not look like one layer. It’s adorable. You are the queen of coloring!
Well it was worth all the work cause the card is great. I admire someone who puts this amount of time and effort into a card. Wonderful job.

I can’t believe this has no layers!! Wow, Broni!! (Kind of laughed-in a comraderie kind of way-about all the trial and error. I’ve been right there with you way too many times. Actually, if you were ever with me when I’ve had problems like that, I’d probably scare you.) Fantastic job!!
This is great and certainly looks like more than one layer! Love the image!
