2 for You Tuesday – #10
Wow! It’s my 10th week of doing 2 For You Tuesdays! That’s kinda hard for me to believe!
I have 2 VERY different cards for you today! I’ve been in a fall/Halloween frame of mind with my Rubbernecker stamps and decided it was time for a ‘Witchy Poo’ card!
RUBBERNECKER
~~~
Before I show you the entire card, let me remind you that it’s Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker Stamp Co.
You can find the first clue at the Rubbernecker home page which will lead you on your treasure hunt to find the prize! When you make a purchase, the prize will be yours! The hours of the treasure hunt are 4 am PST to 9 pm PST (that’s 7 am to 12 am on the East coast).
ALSO….
AND….
Rubbernecker is beginning a new weekly sales and rebate campaign. And this week (continued from last week) Ranger Adirondack Pigment Pads & Reinkers are on Sale for 25% off!
Be sure to check out all the details on the home page.
Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you that CANDY and JULES have blog candy this week, so be sure to leave them a comment in order to be qualified to win Rubbernecker Bucks!
Now, on to the cards….
I just love Halloween stamps that I consider to be spooky, but really not. KWIM? I don’t mean cutesy witches and ghosts, but images that normally would be considered scary, like witches, that you can use and not scare a little child! Enter Witchy Poo…
Sure she’s green and she’s in a graveyard, but she’s not really scary is she? Then when you read the headstones and the sentiment, you just have to grin a little, huh?
She was stamped in Palette Hybrid Noir on certainly celery cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The tree was stamped in Distress Black Soot and embossed, and the grave stones were stamped in Adirondack Slate. Sponge daubers and Distress inks – Milled Lavender, Scattered Straw, and Old Paper – were used for the edges and the coloring in the background. Miss Witch is raised up on mounting tape. Wonder who she’s casting her spell on?
So, are you ready for Halloween? How about fall?
JACKSONBELLE EMBELLISHMENTS – JBE015
~~~
Today’s Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge is a sketch. And if I could figure out how to copy and paste it here I would! In the meantime, please trust that I did use a sketch for this card!
This is an Inkadinkado stamp called Poppies. I think it’s gorgeous! I stamped it on hot pressed watercolor paper with black StazOn and watercolored it with my water brush and Stampin’ Up! reinkers – several of the new In colors!
I also used my new Cuttlebug Leafy Branch folder on the Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red layers. Isn’t it beautiful?? Maybe next time I won’t use such a big image in front of it so that it can be seen better!
