What a Sale!…..and 2 cards for you today!

Let Your Hair Down crop

Rubbernecker Stamp Co. is having a 25% sale on the new Adirondack pigment ink pads and reinkers today through next Wednesday, August 6!!! If you’ve wanted to try them, but haven’t yet, now is definitely the time to do it!

And speaking of Rubbernecker…..how about these new Cartoon images? They are so cute and hilarious and SO MUCH FUN to color! I just loved this one and made this card for my niece who is a hairdresser! She loved it and has it sitting at her station!

Let Your Hair Down

The sentiment is computer generated, then I stamped the image in Palette Hybrid Noir and colored it with my Copic markers. The cape was then covered with Star Dust Stickles! I really should have colored her hair purple, because Jaime actually has purple streaks in her hair!

When I finished with this card, I had some scraps of white and the patterned paper left over, so I thought I’d try Julia‘s Ways To Use It challenge this week to use scraps. I also combined it with Jeanne‘s Limited Supply challenge to make a card that would make someone smile. I guess both of these cards would qualify for that one!

Better Late crop

I just hate it when I’m late getting a birthday card out in the mail to someone or if I just forget a birthday totally! After all, I make cards, for goodness sakes! You’d think I’d have bunch just sitting around waiting to be mailed! NOT! They just seem to disappear (or get taken by my daughters, or get sent to Dave, or just walk off on their own)! So when I saw this darling little snail by Inkadinkado that Lindsey had, I knew I would probably get a lot of use out of it!

I used the scraps of patterned paper as you can see, and the snail was stamped on a scrap of white paper and cut out and embossed with a Nestabilities scallop circle die. I also stamped the little guy directly on the front of the card before attaching the scraps so I could line the snail and his trail up exactly where I wanted it and be able to add the stickles to his entire trail.

Better Late

It really is a simple card, but I think it’s so cute!

Thanks for taking time out to stop by. I’m headed off to my grandson’s birthday party. That should be wild and fun! Enjoy your weekend!

Oh, WOW! First, I have to say I love, love, LOVE the slime trail. They never look that pretty in my garden. Well, the snails never look that cute, either. Great card! And, now, your hairdresser cartoon image is so funny! The hairdresser looks so proud of himself. Love the glittered cape and all the color. I have the same problem when it comes to having a card when I need it. I’ve got plenty that can be used for sympathy or thinking of you but those fun, cute birthday cards almost always need to be made on demand. And I rarely have time for last minute cards. I really need to make some in advance. I miss them, anyway.
