Maybe these ladies are sitting on the beach looking at those VERY LARGE waves, waiting for their swarthy pirates to come sailing in and whisk them away! Hmmm. Oh well, that’s probably a story for another day.
I figured it was time to get back to making beach cards! It’s been consistently in the 80’s here for over a week. I know I’m ready for a trip to the coast!
These 3 ladies are actually 1 stamp called Bathing Beauties from the Rubbernecker Beach Party section. I stamped them on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. Then I drew the shoreline and colored in the sand. I cut along the shoreline and around the ladies’ upper bodies.
The waves are a piece of patterned paper from the Teresa Collins Boardwalk collection. This one is the reverse side of the pattern called Surf’s Up. It was attached to the 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ base of gray cardstock after 2 pieces of ribbon were wrapped around the upper left edge.
I used tape on the bottom and sides of the image and mounting tape behind each of the ladies to attach them to the card, giving them extra dimension.
The sentiment (one of my all time favorites!) was stamped on barely banana cardstock and cut with a circle Nestabilities die. The summer sun cardstock was punched with my scallop circle punch twice to make the pointed scallops.
Finally I added stickles to the water line and around the edge of the sun.
Thanks for coming by to visit! Please take a few minutes and search for the free stamp image at Rubbernecker.
