It’s Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker!

Rose Teapot crop

Well, it’s a Tuesday and you know what that means. It’s Treasure Hunt Tuesday at Rubbernecker!

If you follow the clues and find the hidden treasure, you will receive it free when you make a purchase. You can find the first clue in the Treasure Hunt on Linda’s blog today.

EDIT:  This is a message from Dave at Rubbernecker:

Treasure Hunt Tuesdays is simple today.
Just look in Rubbernecker for the “Get Well” category and find the prize. Sorry to be brief this week but we are driving out this
morning for a show in Akron Ohio and we have about 2000 miles to go.
Hope you enjoy.

Two of our Design Team Members, Sherry and Leslie, have Rubbernecker Blog Candy today. You’ll want to be sure to visit their blogs for a chance to win. While you are visiting Rubbernecker, don’t forget to check out the home page for info on how you can earn free stamps and shipping.

My card today was made as a late entry for yesterday’s Rubbernecker RBC06 color challenge to use pink, red and gray. I finally found some time to play last night and while I was at it, I decided to combine this color challenge (see details on Jeanne’s blog) with the Monday Technique Lovers Challenge TLC165 on Splitcoast. The challenge was to create a small gift card holder.

Rose Teapot blog

I used 2 stamps from the KK Originals line at Rubbernecker. I stamped the Rose Teapot and Cup (1 image) with Palette Hybrid Noir on Georgia Pacific white paper and colored the image with Copic markers. The Teacup Border – horizontal was stamped in Adirondack Shell Pink across the bottom of the card front after I had completed the cutting, scoring and punching as outlined in the tutorials which were linked in the original challenge post.

I rounded the upper corners of the image layer and matted it on basic gray cardstock which is also rounded. I added the 3 pink rhinestone stickers at the bottom of the gray layer and tied the whole card together with a piece of wide stain ribbon.

I had thought this would be complicated to make but I was so wrong! I’m so glad now that I tried it. I’ll definitely be making all of my gift card holders from now on!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today!! Be sure to hunt for that treasure and visit the ladies who are giving away blog candy this week.

Have a lovely day!
