Summer Lighthouse crop

It’s Monday again and time for another Rubbernecker color challenge. If you head over to Jeanne’s blog you’ll find all the details on the latest Rubbernecker color challenge. This week the colors are light blue, dark blue, and any neutral. This just screams out WATER and BEACH to me, of course!!

Rules, past challenges and blog button can be found –>HERE

Please link your creation to this post of Jeanne’s. Qualifying entries using at least one Rubbernecker, Stamp Oasis or KK Originals image will be entered in a monthly drawing for
a $25 Rubber Bucks Certificate from Rubbernecker Stamp Co.

Here’s my color challenge card:

Summertime Lighthouse

The images used on this card are from the Rubbernecker Beach Party section. The lighthouse image was saturated with Copic markers, then matted on night of navy cardstock and then again on a white scalloped rectangle cut with a Nestabilities die.

Did you notice I said saturated instead of colored? If you had seen the back of this image before I mounted it (and I could just kick myself for not taking a photo first!) you would see that the back looked almost the same as the front, in a watercolor sort of way. It had the same color saturation, which came from close, tight swirls with the Copics. It just did not have the stamped black lines. Kind of cool, actually!

Ok, and I have to make fun of myself. I was thinking it sure was a good thing the colors weren’t green instead of blue, because my lighthouse would have looked an awful lot like Buzz Lightyear, with that clear circle sticker on the top!!! LOL!

Buzz Lightyear

Please head over to Jeanne’s blog to get in on all the fun!

Thanks for coming by for a visit today! Have a wonderful day!
