Now here’s my card for today: Eat Dessert First!

Doesn’t this cherry pie look yummy! And I’m all about that sentiment!

I stamped this image and the sentiment on watercolor paper with Versamark and embossed with black embossing powder. I colored the pie with my waterbrush and Aidrondack inks. The edges were sponged with Slate and Watermelon inks and a sponge dauber. Everything else is pretty much self-explanatory.

Thanks for visiting today! Don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the blog candy!

Oh what a fun age! When I read your question, I thought, maybe make some brownies or cupcakes and let him have the pan to lick and play with. Then I saw your card…I think fun in the kitchen might be entertaining!

Thanks for the chance to win blog candy!

my best friend has a granddaughter the same age and she loves to play with play dough. I would suggest you play with that and chalk boards or sidewalk chalk is always fun.

  5. Aimee says:

Maybe give him some crayons for his age group and have him color beside you…. they are so fun… I miss my DD being that little.

Oh this looks so Yummy, Fabulous Broni!!

  7. Michelle Adams says:

Maybe some of those new crayons/markers that are designed for toddlers? It would be fun to see what he comes up with! Besides, you will want to start nurturing his inner artist early I am sure! LOL! Thanks for the chance!

  8. Denise says:

I used to open the dishwasher door and use it as a “splash mat”, put down paints and paper, put on a big apron and let them paint up a storm.

  9. stacy says:

Blocks are the sure thing. Kids love to play with the big chunky blocks. Love your pie, looks scrumptious. If all else fails I guess you could turn him loose in the stamp room. LOL!

Oooh! 19 months!! Such a fun fun time.
My kids LOVED to play in the water. My MIL would often sit my son on the counter and let him play with soap bubbles while she washed dishes. (she kept the hot water on the other side of the sink.

My youngest was around while I was stamping (didn’t start till after she was born) she LOVED to stack the wood mounted stamps (and then knock them over!!). It let me stamp while she was awake (though I had to have a design ready to go).

IF you live where you can get out–have him take you for a walk. You won’t get far–but you will see LOTS of new stuff.

LIBRARY!! They usually have large collections of board books (call first to check). Not only do most children LOVE books–but they are often in bins at Libraries–and they LOVE to go through them (and dump them on the floor 😉 )

I am SURE you have your camera ready!! ENJOY!!

  11. Cute images. I LOVE Rubbernecker stamps for sure! I’m getting addicted!

I have a jack in the box that my little buddy laughs and laughs at.

If its nice outside how about some bubbles! My kids were always easily amused by a big cardboard box at that age. They loved putting their toys in and then dumping them out, putting them in, dumping them out. Too bad they’re not still as amused by cleaning up their toys, LOL! Have fun!

  13. Linda Marie says:

What a yummy looking card! Beautifully colored! I would take him to the park if weather permits. Our weather is perfect here.

  14. Stella says:

Hmm….My son always enjoyed blocks, stacking, unstacking, rolling, picking them up….you name it. Make sure you have some good storybooks too.

By the way, I LOVE your card. It makes me so hungry!

  15. Sheila says:

I love Rubbernecker stamps for sure! Your card is great. 18 months old is such a precious age. They are easy to entertain and so much fun to cuddle. Have a great time with him.

  16. Joanne says:

Well! Stamp with him! I’m sure he could use your blocks for building! If that fails let him paint your bathtub surround with waterbased paints. Then just shower it off.
I’ll have a piece of that cherry pie if you’re sharing heehee!

  17. Christina says:

Well, everybody has such great ideas, all I could think of was playing peek a boo and making funny faces!

  18. very cute! I bought that cherry pie stamp years ago….need to dig it out! (among many others…LOL)

  19. Rose Ann says:
