This card is going to a young pirate that I know. I hope he likes it!
The waves and Ahoy text on the striped paper were stamped with Adirondack Stream ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I really like that this ink stays wet enough to emboss with.
The saffron piece was painted with Ranger crackle paint in the Scattered Straw color – a perfect match! Actually, the saffron strip, the textured red square and the teal circle were all pieces from my scrap pile, so this card was practically thrown together! I just colored one of the boat images with my Copic markers, cut it out into pieces, and mounted those on the other image using tiny pieces of foam tape. The first boat with the waves underneath had already been colored with Copics and cut out and embossed with a Nestabilties rectangle die.
I used clear imitation “Dew Drops” from Michael’s and painted the bottom of them with my BG15 Copic marker so they match the main image. They were attached using glue dots. The main image is attached with mounting tape to make it pop up a little higher. I sponged the edges of the striped paper with Ranger Distress ink in Scattered Straw and my ink blending tool.
Thanks for visiting with me today!

Just being outside in the warm weather would be great! We have had so much snow, that I just look forward to the trees greening up and the flowers blooming. That is all I need!
I am looking forward to taking my dog on a walk on the walking trail near our house. My dog really hates cold weather so he hasn’t been on a long walk since fall. Thanks so much for the chance!
I plan on Skydiving as soon as it begins to warm up. I was going to do it this fall but it got cold too fast.
Just being able to go outside. Pull out all the kid toys from the garage, woo hoo. To be outside and the kids not being bored. Thanks Kathy H…
I’m looking forward to just being outside and soaking up the sunshine. My son plays A LOT of baseball during the summer months, so we’re going to be outside a lot.
Thanks for the opporunity to win some blog candy.

Ahhh…teasing us with a warm weather question! It is snowing here and we are supposed to get more tonight! UGH! I can’t wait for the warm weather so that we will be able to eat our meals on our back porch. We love being able to eat outside and watch the wildlife that is new in the spring and see the beautiful flowers. I can’t wait!
Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy!
With the warmer weather, I am looking for better health for my whole family! We have been cooped up too long inside (and that includes the dogs!)~
Thanks for the opportunity to win~
Getting my pool up and running for the summer…
Right now, while the snow started to come down again… I am just looking forward to not having more show and mud. :o) TFS!
Swimming for sure! Very creative card! Those extra waves is an excellent detail to bring your eye up.
I can’t wait to cook on the grill again and just enjoy my deck. Thanx for the chance to win. Have a stamp happy day!Stacy
I can’t wait for warm weather so I can just get outside and enjoy the fresh air! The air in the house all winter seems so stuffy! Even my humifier doesn’t help much.
Warm weather……oh will it ever come? We are in the middle of a little crappy storm. It is slushing out. Giant puddles everywhere. AND they say another snow storm is coming Friday. Sick and tired of it all. So, when the weather warms up I look forward to taking the motorcycle out and cruising wherever the bike takes me. Thanks so much for offering the blog candy.
Cute!!! Love that crackled piece! And WOOHOO for using scraps! Yours certainly came together nicely! 🙂
