Now that Valentine’s Day is over, summer is definitely getting closer!  Yay!  I know a lot of you are still buried in snow, but keep your chins up.  It can’t last forever!

Here’s a beach-themed card made with stamps from the Rubbernecker Beach Party section.  The sentiment is one of my all-time favorites!

lifes-a-beach-blog.jpg

The card base is 5-1/2 by 5-1/2 cool caribbean cardstock, which was stamped with the sand image in Adirondack Latte ink and sponged around the edges using a Ranger foam ink blending tool.  The patterned paper was matted with chocolate chip and attached.  I stamped the lighthouse and beach fence images in Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored the scene in with Copic markers.  Then I stamped the sand image in Adirondack Latte, tore a small strip off the bottom, inked the torn edge and attached it on top of the main image panel.  The sentiment was stamped with Adirondack Espresso ink.

There are a wide satin pale aqua ribbon and two thin striped grosgrain ribbons attached around the bottom of the card base.  The main image panel is attached with mounting tape after a small piece of taken with teal was attached behind the top right corner.

Finally I colored in the light with a yellow metallic gelly roll pen and attached an acetate circle over the light using stardust stickles.

Thanks for visiting today!
