Hot Little…..Ethel???
LOL!! Well, I bet someone thinks she’s one HOT little number!! I made this card for the Color Throwdown #27, which is hosted by the mega-talented Cathy Indelicato this week!! Here are this week’s colors:
By the way, did you see that Maria of Stamping with M won the Featured Stamper title this week? You really need to check out her gorgeous card here. You could be the next Featured Stamper! Just play along using the color combo this week, post your card online and leave a direct link to it in a comment on today’s Color Throwdown blog post! That’s all there is to it!
Now on to my “Hot Little Ethel” card~
I was going to use this as a Valentine card, but now I think I’ll give it to my sister who’s having a birthday next month. I doubt if she’ll appreciate it very much, but her kids will get a kick out of it!
The black background is a piece of Coredinations cardstock – black on one side and red on the other. I ran it through the Cuttlebug using my Numbers Collage folder, then sanded the top which removed some of the black, allowing the red to show through. Thus the title…one HOT little number! I created the sentiment using my computer photo program and then printed it onto white cardstock and ran it through the Wizard using a scalloped oval Nestabilities die. I also ran my real red marker around the edge of it.
I also used Taylor‘s sketch TECC52TV this week. I loved it and figured it was about time I played along in her cupcake challenge since she’s been doing them for a whole year now! Congratulations on such a successful achievement, Taylor!!
I’m so glad you stopped by today! Please be sure to check out the rest of the design team members’ fantastic creations here:
See you next time!
